ASHLEY FEHRINGER (MPH GCHB ‘16) had lunch with SUE GRIFFEY (MPH INHL ’83, DrPH INHL ‘93), who provided an update on Ashley. Just three weeks before their lunch, Ashley had started her “ideal job” as an early childhood training specialist at the Institute of Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland. She landed the job after returning from serving in the Peace Corps in Guatemala. Ashley was in Sue’s original pilot group of six MPH students for the SPHTM Short-Term Mentoring Program and has promised to pay it forward by becoming an SPHTM mentor herself! KATHLEEN ROONEY-OTERO (MPH INHL ‘05) has accepted a position as a pediatric hospitalist at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Fla. She has also been appointed clinical instructor of pediatrics at the University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine.

CHAD ROY (MSPH ENHS ’93) and NATALIE MESSER ROY (MPH MCH ’93) combined their public health expertise and interests in a webinar for the AgriSafe Network, where Natalie is executive director. The webinar, designed to educate following disaster, is available at agrisafe.org/flood-clean-up. Chad is a professor with the Tulane School of Medicine and is also the director of infectious disease aerobiology for the Tulane National Primate Research Center.
